Since 2012, I have dedicated my life to teaching adult English learners because I believe language has the power to open doors, create confidence, and transform lives. My passion for teaching and languages has always been at the center of who I am, and it is what inspired me to create English for Work Success. But my journey to this work was shaped long before the classroom.

In 2010, I was paralyzed by Guillain-Barré Syndrome. During one of the most difficult times in my life, I learned firsthand what resilience, perseverance, and hope truly mean. Recovery was not easy, but that experience changed my perspective forever. It taught me that challenges do not define us, but rather, our determination does.

That same belief guides the work I do today.

At English for Work Success, I believe every person deserves the opportunity to succeed, grow, and feel confident in their workplace and daily life. Many adult English learners are balancing jobs, families, responsibilities, and the challenge of learning a new language all at once. I understand the courage that takes, and I strive to create supportive, practical, and encouraging learning experiences that help people reach their goals.

My teaching focuses on real-world English skills that employees can immediately apply in the workplace - from communication with coworkers and customers to understanding instructions, safety procedures, and professional interactions. More importantly, I want every learner to feel seen, valued, and capable of success.

English is more than a language. It is opportunity, connection, and empowerment. No matter where someone begins, I believe growth is possible. My story is proof that resilience can carry us through difficult moments, and I want our learners to know that they, too, are capable of achieving great things.
